Kick off the summer with a biking festival! The Paonia Chamber of Commerce and the North Fork Bicycle Club are sponsoring the Gears and Beers Bike Festival on June 5-7 to introduce you to the riding that is available in the area. ( It’s such a great riding venue bikers come from other continents to ride our mountains.) It’s a chance to enjoy the valley’s great food and libations from Revolution Brewery and local vintners. There will be live music and vendors to show you the latest gear. Of course, you’ll want to take a few rides; rides are planned for both road bikes and mountain bikes. So, take the ski rack off the car and put the bike rack on. Load up the family and head to Paonia for a weekend of fun. Book two nights for the festival before the end of May and receive a 10% discount. For more information go to paoniachamber.org.
