Annual Blossom Walk
April 18-20
The third weekend of April, April 18-20, the Paonia B&B
Association will host its fifth annual Blossom Walk. Guests will arrive Friday evening and settle into one of the bed and breakfasts for a weekend of exercise, fresh air, local hospitality and more. Saturday morning, following a gourmet breakfast, the group will do a 5K walk to a local orchard, where you can inhale the aroma of the blossoms and marvel at their beauty as well as meet with the orchard man to gain insight into raising
succulent fruit. The afternoon will be free for participants to pursue activities of their choosing -- wine tasting, art studio visitations, cycling, hiking, antique hunting, scenic drives, etc. Dinner will be at one of Paonia's renowned restaurants. The full weekend for two persons sharing a room is $375 (including tax), $270 (including tax) for single occupancy.
This includes two nights at a bed and breakfast, walk, lunch, and dinner.
Deadline for reservations is April 14.
Hotchkiss Sheep Camp Stock Dog Trials
May 9-11
Two full days of stock dog trials -- 75 dogs will be participating! Sheep camp wagon competition, art contest, sheep shearing
demonstration and a trial-oriented item auction. There will be BBQ beef, lamb and vendors on site. Other events occurring simultaneously in Hotchkiss include a Friday afternoon parade, an antique car show, yard sales and fine arts and crafts at the Creamery Arts Center. You can ride from event to event courtesy of the Grand Mesa Harness Club. It's four-legged fun! Make your reservations now for this great weekend. A two-night stay at the Bross Hotel will get you free tickets to the dog trials. (Note: We do not accept pets or working dogs.)
Wine and Buffalo Feast
May 17
High Wire Ranch and Leroux Creek Vineyards will be holding a
Feast from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Dine on the ranch in a beautiful setting. Tickets are $45. Includes appetizers, 3 entrees, side dishes, dessert and soft drink beverages. Wine will be sold at $5 per glass. Tickets are limited.

North Fork Bluegrass & Roots Music Festival
June 13-15

Food & Film Festival (Plus Wine, of course)
August 1-3
Slow food, organic food, local food. Paonia has it all. And, it
has some of Colorado's best wine. So come and enjoy dinner al fresco complemented by the fruit of local vines. Chef Dava Parr, local growers, and vintners are combining their efforts to make this a dinner to remember. To whet your appetite the Paradise Theatre will offer a menu of food films. At this writing, plans are in progress.

Fifth Annual West Elks Wine Tour and Dinner
August 15-17
The Paonia Bed and Breakfast Association invites you to spend a weekend with us. Arrive Friday evening and meet the other guests. Then, after a restful night and a scrumptious breakfast, we'll take you on a tour of the wineries in the West Elks Viticulture Area. You'll have an opportunity to sample the wines of Terror Creek Winery, Stone Cottage Cellars, S. Rhodes Vineyards, Black Bridge Winery, Leroux Creek Vineyards, Jack Rabbit Hill, and Alfred Eames Cellars. We'll top off the day with a chuck wagon dinner beside the North Fork of the Gunnison River -- accompanied with local wines, of course. Then it's time to sit on the porch, enjoy the sunset and the evening breezes that are credited with making the fruit of the valley so sweet. Cost for the weekend (tour, two nights at a B&B, two breakfasts, and wine dinner) is $375 (including tax) for a couple or $275
(including tax) for a single.
